Following the success of our first Linoprint machine, we were keen to expand our digital offering to our clients whilst giving our digital department more capacity to cope with the current market and our Web2Print demands. Since the initial installation we have seen the digital print market grow significantly with new technologies being explored by our client base increasingly pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
When looking at the digital print market, in order to stay in front of competition it is imperative to have machinery capable of matching our clients’ needs. We have undoubtedly over the last 4 years pushed the Linoprint C751 to its capacity printing on a range of stocks from lightweight gloss papers, right through to 350gsm uncoated coloured specialist stocks. As a result when reinvesting in new machinery, it was critical the machine could better the diversification the previous machine offered in terms of stock range, which led us to the Linoprint CV.
The fifth colour and the increased sheet size was something we felt would add to our offering within the marketplace. Since the installation of the initial Linoprint, the downside had always been the restriction to the SRA3 sheet size. With the new press, capable of printing up to 330x700mm sheet size installed in December, we have added more capabilities, which will add further opportunities to the business.
